Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Elite Status Matching

Alaska has a generous and simple under-the-radar status matching program. If you have bottom level status on another airline, they will give you MVP status. If you have mid or high tier status on another airline, they will give you MVP Gold status.

Given the changes to their award chart, unless you are flying frequently to Alaska or up and down the West Coast, Alaska’s program no longer has a major advantage over other frequent flyer programs.

If you do wish to status match, simply fax a copy of your current elite statement and membership card to Mileage Plan Customer Service at 206-433-3477.

Alaska will give you status through the following year if you match after October 1^st.
